C Central is Fringe venue number 54 , part of the C venues venue chain. Read more about this venue chain. Its address is Carlton Hotel, North Bridge, Edinburgh EH1 1SD, which is in the Royal Mile area of the city. See a map of this area. The venue's website is www.cthefestival.com, and you can book tickets online through this website. The box office telephone number is FringeGuru's review of this venuePart of the C venues chain, C Central is tucked into a run-down corner of the prestigious Carlton Hotel. Once a ballooning venue arranged over four floors, the main part of this venue has gone through some changes of late; for 2008 it features an all-new "immersive" performance area, the Red Room. We're looking forward to seeing what C have done with this area, and we'll update this review once we've taken a look. Shoe-horned into an uncomfortable space under the hotel foyer, C Central's cabaret bar is approached through a separate door, and has its own small box office and bar. With red wood-chip wallpaper and a mural-adorned stairway, the feel is either run-down or charmingly seedy, depending on your point of view. For the right show, it can be a fun, intimate venue - but join the queue early if you want any chance at all of seeing the stage. Eating and drinking at this venueThere's a bar at the back of the cabaret bar, which stays open throughout most shows. In the main C Central foyer, there's a small kiosk where you can grab a drink to take into a show. Afterwards, you head upstairs to enjoy the much classier surroundings of the Carlton Hotel's first-floor bar. Where to get tickets for this venueHere's where you can buy tickets for this venue.
