FringeGuru's review of this venue

Hidden unpromisingly behind a newsagents' at the less fashionable end of the Royal Mile, and appearing equally discouraging from the outside, Venue 13 is actually a pretty good little place to watch a play. Everyone has a good view, the seats are comfortable, and the staff - drawn from college stage management courses - is friendly. The tiny foyer isn't enough to hold the queue, which is a problem if it's raining; in better weather, enjoy the grass and picnic tables outside.

For some 15 years, Venue 13 has enjoyed a tie-up with the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama - bringing a taste of Welsh talent to this small corner of Edinburgh for the month of August every year. It's been a hugely successful collaboration, with productions at the venue attracting far more plaudits than you'd expect from its modest size.
