|Jack Whitehall: Learning Difficulties|
|Published on Tuesday, 13 July 2010|
"Nearly Rebellious" in his show last year, Jack Whitehall returns to the Fringe to follow up his Best-Newcomer-nominated hit. This year, his theme is the age-old belief that you should always learn from your mistakes.
Mind you, there weren't many mistakes in last year's show. It was excellently crafted, wrote our reviewer Craig Thomson: "his writing and turn of phrase is at times magnificent... a confidently-performed delight, with an obviously heartfelt and oddly touching finale".
Whether or not Whitehall has learned much from his brief (but, to be honest, pretty boring) stint on the front page of the News of the World remains to be seen. What we do know is that he’s a top performer with natural comic gifts, backed up by real skill in his writing and delivery. And that there will still be loads of teenage girls in the audience.
