Hogmanay ticket hut opens its doors

Edinburgh's Hogmanay organizers have opened up their seasonal ticket booth, adding a city-centre outlet to their existing online and phone booking options.  The cabin in Princes Street Gardens, handy for the Christmas festivities, can sell tickets for the full range of Hogmanay events (together with, inevitably, a shed-load of Hogmanay merchandise).

Here's a run-down of all your Hogmanay booking options.

If you can, we think your simplest option's to book online.  You can choose from the full range of available tickets and get instant confirmation of availability.  Sadly, the online system can't cope with booking more than one event in a single transaction - a major oversight when they bump up each order with a hefty £4.95 postage fee.

If you'd rather hear the sound of someone's voice, call the Hogmanay booking line on 0844 481 2009.

Or for the personal touch, call in at the Hogmanay cabin near the Scott Monument, just off Princes Street in Edinburgh city centre.  You can also book online and pick up at the cabin, if you'd like to secure your place but still avoid the postage charge.
