Four Screws Loose Present 'Screwed-Over-Again!' |

Four Screws Loose Present ‘Screwed Over Again!’ is a rapid-fire sketch show featuring Richard David-Caine, Joseph Elliott, Conan House and Thom Ford as a variety of characters, and with the odd musical number thrown in. The four performers are a likeable bunch, and all give enthusiastic and tight performances. Benefitting from some smart direction from James Kermack, the show is well-paced and confidently delivered. The material varies in quality, with some sketches being a little low on laughs, and others offering moments of genuine hilarity. The section of audience participation felt overlong, and – being one of the weaker sections – perhaps not the best choice for an opening. But other sketches were more successful, provoking uproarious laughter from the audience. The musical numbers were definite highlights, the iTunes sketch being a moment of brilliance that I would have been happy to see extended almost indefinitely. There some great moments in the show, and although there are also some lower points, the energetic pace and animated delivery keep the audience’s attention. There is room for development, but Four Screws Loose are certainly crowd pleasers. |
