Guess Hoog's dropped their prices?
Published on Monday, 24 December 2007

Edinburgh's newest New Year dance, the Hoog Royale at the Queen's Hall, has quietly dropped its ticket prices... from an eye-watering £60 a head to the comparatively bargainous £45.  Starting at 7:30 on Hogmanay and jigging through to 2am, the Hoog Royale is the brand new offshoot of the popular ceilidh at the Assembly Rooms, offering a handy alternative for residents on the southern side of town.

The event at the Assembly Rooms is all but sold out, but there's still a healthy supply of now-dicounted passes for its smaller brother at the Queen's Hall.  It doesn't take a genius to realise that the price-drop indicates an issue shifting the tickets - but it still sounds like a good event, featuring local ceilidh outflit Blaze in the Bothy and a jazzy interlude from the Lairds of Dixieland.

Pre-booking is still essential.  You can read more about the Hoog Royale here on FringeGuru, then book tickets through the usual Hogmanay outlets.
